Lousy customer service is the WORST, right? Nothing can ruin a perfectly good day like an unhelpful customer service rep or getting lost in voice mail hell. At Sense and Humor, I want you to have a great experience from start to finish. You came here looking to smile and laugh. I'd hate for you to walk away miserable. Below, you'll find answers to common questions. But here's the thing: you might have a question that's not on here. Or maybe your question is on here, but the answer isn't doing it for you. Shipping Questions

How is shipping calculated?

Shipping is calculated by price, not weight. After you add items to your cart, you can select "check out." You'll then be able to see the cost of shipping before you submit payment.

What are my shipping options and how long does shipping take?

I ship products the cheapest way (whenever possible), which is typically USPS First-Class Mail for most items on Sense and Humor. Cheap, of course, isn't a synonym for "Amazon Prime" or "next-day delivery." Just in case you lost your thesaurus and were wondering. ;)

So the cheaper shipping means it can take longer to get your order—and even longer during peak holiday season in December. For the most part, domestic US packages arrive within 5-7 days (and often faster than that). I try to accommodate customers when they're in a rush. If that describes you, the best bet is to reach out using one of the methods at the top of this page.

At what point in the purchasing process do I get to see my shipping options and costs?

You'll see the shipping costs calculated at checkout, right before you submit payment. As of right now, I'm not able to offer shipping options (like next-day delivery).

Why don't you offer free shipping?

Three words: I'm not Amazon. :) Seriously, I understand that people want free shipping. Heck, I LOVE free shipping. But for now, this is a small boutique business, and it's (mostly) just me. Someday, I might get to a point where I can offer free shipping.

Do you offer "rush" shipping (like overnight or 2-day)?

As of right now, shipping is one size fits all (and the cheapest option possible). But I do try to help customers who are in rush by occasionally shipping USPS Priority Mail. No promises, though! If this describes you, the best bet is to get in touch with me using one of the methods at the top of this page.

Do you ship internationally?

I do ship internationally to just about anywhere, and during checkout, the shipping calculator will add on additional fees for international shipping (typically $20).

Do I have the ability to track my order?

Yes, all shipments are tracked, whether USPS First-Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail. You'll receive a USPS Tracking number with the email address you used during checkout once the package ships. Then, you can visit the USPS.com site to track your package.

My shipment hasn't arrived. What should I do?

Double check your USPS Tracking number, which you should have received via email once your package shipped. If it shows delivered, but you didn't receive it, contact me and I'll either refund (if it was a time-sensitive gift) or send out another one. My shipment arrived, but the box/product is damaged or broken. What should I do?

FAQs

What payment methods do you accept?

As of right now, Sense and Humor accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover cards. Or I'd be willing to trade goods if you can hook me up with Brad Pitt. (Just kidding on that last option!)

Is my payment info secure?

I care about your privacy and the security of sensitive info, like credit cards. Read the Sense and Humor privacy policy here. Section 4 talks about Shopify, which hosts my online store. And Section 6 addresses the security of payment info.

OMG, I need to cancel my order! What should I do?

If it has shipped, you can snail mail the product back to me (you'll need to cover shipping), and I'll issue a full refund once I receive the item (I'd need to get it back within 30 days of the purchase date). Can any of your products be customized?

Not at this time. But hopefully in the future I'll be able to offer more options regarding things like colors.

Can I purchase a gift card or send an item as a gift (complete with a gift receipt)?

How do I opt out of your newsletter?

Were you really featured on The View?

Yes, Sense and Humor was featured on The View in November 2018. It was wild! A producer from the show contacted me about featuring some products, including my "Hurry Back! We're Talking About You" guest towels. Here's the thing: At the time, I was on the other side of the world, visiting one of my kids during his study abroad semester. Now, let me just say this: Daily talk shows move FAST. Coordinating everything from Australia was definitely, um, interesting. I laughed. MOST of the time. ;) I'm incredibly grateful for the exposure it brought to Sense and Humor!
